Ali Mohammed serves as Vice President of Innovation at the New York Power Authority, where he oversees the identification, integration, and deployment of advanced technologies to enhance grid reliability, affordability, and accelerate decarbonization.
With over fifteen years of experience in technology, infrastructure, and utility transformation, Ali Mohammed is distinguished for translating innovative concepts into scalable operational solutions. His leadership encompasses strategic initiatives in artificial intelligence, digital twins, energy storage, grid modernization, and broadband, managing portfolios exceeding $3 billion.
Ali Mohammed holds advisory positions on industry boards, including as Founding Chairman of the Utility Broadband Alliance and advisor to the NYS Governor’s Broadband Deployment Advisory Committee.
Possessing dual master’s degrees in electrical and computer engineering, Ali Mohammed is recognized for bridging innovation, strategy, and execution to advance next-generation energy technologies.
