Biography
Ben Margolis is Director of the Maryland Energy Innovation Accelerator (MEIA), where he leads efforts to bring cutting-edge clean energy technologies from concept to market across Maryland. With a background spanning engineering, entrepreneurship, and climate tech, Ben has built and advised startups focused on solar, energy efficiency, and electric mobility, and has worked with leading organizations in the innovation ecosystem. He brings deep expertise in business development, commercialization strategy, and stakeholder engagement, helping translate technical innovation into scalable, real-world solutions. Ben has also served as a mentor, advisor, and industry collaborator across numerous programs and organizations supporting emerging companies and founders. He holds a BS in Engineering from the University of Maryland and an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
