Biography
Dr. Clément Cid is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Mitico, a climate technology company commercializing next-generation carbon capture solutions for industrial decarbonization. He earned both his M.S. and Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), where he served as a laboratory manager and helped advance technologies that ultimately became the foundation of Mitico.
Dr. Cid has authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications, contributed to patented technologies, and has extensive experience translating academic innovation into commercial climate solutions. Under his leadership, Mitico has developed proprietary solid-sorbent carbon capture technology and established collaborations with industrial partners across North America, Europe, and Asia to accelerate deployment in power generation, refining, cement, chemicals, and waste-to-energy sectors. Passionate about practical climate solutions, Dr. Cid is focused on making carbon capture more affordable, scalable, and accessible to help industries achieve meaningful emissions reductions while maintaining operational competitiveness.
