Biography
David C. Hamilton, Senior Director of Corporate Engagement in Stony Brook University's Office of Research & Innovation, is responsible for developing and executing strategies that foster and strengthen industry partnerships in support of the university’s research and innovation goals. He has held multiple senior leadership positions within SBU, including Center Director for the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center, the Center for Integrated Electric Energy Systems, the Strategic Partnership for Industrial Resurgence, and the Manufacturing and Technology Resource Consortium. As Executive Director of the Clean Energy Business Incubator Program, he created and implemented multiple incubation programs designed to enhance and accelerate the growth of energy start-ups. He holds a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Clarkson University and a MBA from Hofstra University. His expertise spans advanced energy technologies, business development, engineering technologies commercialization, and marketing. He is known for effectively mentoring early-stage entrepreneurs in the clean energy sector.
