Biography
Joe Ambrosio is CEO of Unique Electric Solutions, leading development of electric and hybrid propulsion systems, energy storage, and battery energy and thermal management technologies. Joe is a mechatronics engineer with over 30 years of work in the design, development and manufacturing of electrical and mechanical products and systems. His focus has been on energy storage, power electronics and propulsion for the transportation industry. As a serial entrepreneur he has started a number of early-stage companies with support from public-private investors, state agencies and federal grants. Joe has authored twelve US patents and many technical papers in power conversion, energy storage and battery thermal management. He currently serves on several industrial advisory boards at Bronx Community College, NY Institute of Technology and Stony Brook University. Joe is native New Yorker currently residing in Smithtown NY with his wife and daughter. He spends his spare time on car restoration, gardening and creating new recipes in the kitchen.
