Biography
Katie serves as Deputy Executive Director at New York City’s Mayor’s Office of Climate and Environmental Justice, where she leads the Sustainable Buildings, Clean Energy, and General Counsel teams. Before joining MOCEJ, she served as Senior Director for Strategic Planning in the Division of Energy Management at the Department of Citywide Administrative Services, where she led policy, strategic communications, and compliance supporting the City’s work to decarbonize its assets and operation and catalyze the development of clean energy infrastructure serving New York City. Prior to her tenure at DCAS, Katie served as Deputy Director for Program Coordination and Delivery at the former Mayor’s Office of Climate Resiliency, and as senior counsel in the Environmental Division of the New York City Law Department, where she represented and advised City agencies in environmental and climate litigation and special projects. Katie completed her law degree at NYU and undergraduate at Columbia University.
