Biography
At the Parkside Group, Katie O’Leary-Schweitzer represents clients in the energy and telecommunications sectors before the New York State Legislature and Executive.
Prior to joining the firm, she served as Senior Policy Advisor for Energy & Environment in the New York State's Executive Chamber, where she served two Governors. In the Chamber, she negotiated with both houses of the State Legislature on legislation and budget proposals, managed climate-related policy priorities, worked with various state agencies & authorities to advance the Governor’s agenda, and coordinated with local governments on the implementation of the Governor’s Lake Ontario Resiliency & Economic Development Initiative.
Earlier in her career, Katie served in a variety of staff positions in the NYS Senate, including as Legislative Director for Senate Consumer Protection Committee Chair David Carlucci, where she wrote, negotiated, and successfully advanced legislation into law.
