Biography
Kevin Knobloch is a Founding Principal of Acceleration Energy LLC, a clean energy infrastructure development company advancing complex projects in the U.S. and internationally. He is a General Partner of London GreenCity, an accelerator of climatetech entrepreneurs. He previously served as CEO of Greentown Labs in Massachusetts and Texas and was President of New York OceanGrid LLC, developing offshore wind transmission. Knobloch was Chief of Staff of the U.S. Department of Energy in President Obama’s second term after serving 10 years as President of the Union of Concerned Scientists. Earlier in his career, he was Legislative Director for U.S. Senator Timothy Wirth of Colorado and Legislative Assistant for U.S. Representative Ted Weiss of New York. He holds a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, with a focus on natural resource economics, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
