Biography
Raymond A. Hart founded Hart Home Comfort in 1979 originally as Hart Petroleum. In 1998 he purchased the New Hyde Park Oil Terminal. In 2005 the company provided bulk transportation service by adding Hart Trucking Company.
He has served on the East Coast Energy Council Board – the Metropolitan Energy Council Board, and he was the advertising Chair of the American Energy Coalition (AEC). In addition, he served as a member of the Oil Heat Institute of Long Island (OHILI), Empire State Petroleum Association (ESPA) and currently serves as the president of the board of directors of the New York State Energy Coalition (NYSEC) and is past chair of NEFI.
He has been a leader in bringing Bioheat to Long Island consumers. His family built an infrastructure at the New Hyde Park Oil Terminal to bring in Biodiesel by rail car for injection blending at the rack.
He has been married to his wife Donna for 50 years and they have 4 children (3 of which are in the business). Ray & Donna have been blessed with 4 grandchildren.
