Biography
Seonghoon Woo is the founding CEO of Amogy, a company delivering a leading ammonia-to-power platform for rapidly deployable, dispatchable, carbon-free power generation across stationary and maritime applications. By leveraging ammonia as a scalable hydrogen carrier, Amogy is accelerating decarbonization in distributed power, shipping, and other hard-to-abate industries. Under his leadership, the company has advanced from early-stage research to integrated systems and commercial-scale deployment. Amogy has raised more than $320 million from leading global investors including Amazon’s Climate Pledge Fund, Aramco Ventures, Temasek, SK Innovation, Samsung Heavy Industries and Mitsubishi Corporation, while expanding its presence across the U.S., Singapore, South Korea, Japan and other strategic markets. The company is currently executing multi-megawatt distributed power projects globally. Seonghoon received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT. He was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia and recognized as a Presidential Young Scientist of South Korea in 2018.
