Biography
Shaina brings 15+ years of experience working at the intersection of cities, technology and innovation and a passion for building early-stage teams and companies to take on complex challenges. Shaina is the Director of Program Innovation and Acceleration at The New York Climate Exchange, a non-profit accelerating climate solutions and developing a world-class climate campus on Governors Island. There she leads the tech incubation portfolio including the Climate Tech Fellowship, a pre-accelerator advancing promising climate innovations from lab-to-market.
Over 7+ years at Newlab, a deep tech venture platform, Shaina led innovation programs, partnering with Ford Motor Company, NYCEDC, the NYC Dept of Transportation, and others to advance energy storage, EV charging, and the circular economy through startup pilots.
She was a founding member of Bloomberg Associates, a civic consultancy established by Michael R. Bloomberg to advise city governments, and worked at the NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment.
