Biography
Tristan Brown, JD, PhD is Professor of Energy Resource Economics in the Department of Sustainable Resources Management and Director of the Bioeconomy Development Institute at the SUNY College of Environmental Science & Forestry in Syracuse, NY. He has led multiple large federal government and private sector grants conducting research into the financial feasibility and climate impacts of low-carbon fuels and products. He served on the Energy-Intensive and Trade Exposed Industries advisory panel and Bioeconomy subgroup of the New York State Climate Action Council and heavily contributed to the development of the Bioeconomy section of the New York State Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act’s Scoping Plan.
